Now, Cyxtera colo customers can bypass other costly exchanges and deploy direct, private, low-latency layer 2 connections to cloud resources, as well as redundant interconnectivity between multiple data center locations. Direct access to cloud service providers (CSPs) provides a host of benefits, including optimized network ingress and egress traffic, the elimination of backhaul, and dynamic scalability for users with data flows that vary by use, season, and application.
Megaport’s Software Defined Network (SDN) can serve multiple VLANs to multiple CPSs off a single port, giving companies the flexibility to spin up or tear down connections to hyperscale cloud providers in real-time and scale bandwidth as needed. Megaport also offers month-to-month interfaces for clients that need to move temporary traffic or leverage a platform for a unique application. Low month-to-month terms and a lack of one-time setup fees make Megaport a cost-effective option, as well.
